Otto von Schirach’s Album Drop Party

Last Friday, Miami’s downtown peoples left their videodromes and got down with schiz-hop denizen Otto von Schirach at PS14’s Coup D’etat for the release of the don’s heavy-exposure LP Maxipad Detention (the cover art pwns). Newly signed to Mr. Mike Patton’s heavily proplicious label Ipecac, Otto emceed an obliterated monster mash of tracks rotten and fresh, including “Tea Bagging the Dead,”G4 Scramblin’” and stand-out “Another Night Another Rave.” He also proclaimed man-love for Prince and did a horror-core cover of "When Doves Cry," which was more effed than The Fat Boys beatboxing with Freddy Krueger. ignore’s Vietnamese eggman Sticky Rice (look at this kid) leant violin sounds and visuals straight outta long-cancelled Oddville. Opener John Hancock ANR and closer Yarlen (Goth pasties, much) made for bookend tentacles to the MIA’s new official music figurehead (Rick Ross, contribute our mindlessly wasted $8 to the fund, and get a purple mike cord).
